Kyle Tucker is over the moon to see his Los Angeles Dodgers squad balling after winning their fifth consecutive game in the 10-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday night.
Going into the series finale, the Dodgers outscored the Angels 21-2 in the first two games. The bullpen has excelled at shutting down their rival’s offense while seeing their own attack flourish.
Tucker made sure that remained the same in Game 3, going 3-for-5 in his at-bats for two runs and three RBI. He reflected on the team’s red-hot momentum after completing the series sweep on the broadcast, seeing how the Dodgers are rolling on offense and defense.
“We’ve been playing great ball lately. I mean, our pitching staff’s done a great job all year, and they did another great job here today in the series. Our offense has just done a really good job overall, really great at batting, just keeping the line moving, leaving it up to the next guy, and just trying to put as much pressure on the opposing pitching staff. So we just continue to do that, playing good baseball, we’ll be all right,” Tucker said in the postgame interview with David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports.
How Kyle Tucker, Dodgers played against Angels
Kyle Tucker and the Dodgers are on fire with five straight wins, completing the three-game sweep over the Angels.
The Dodgers boasted a 7-1 lead after the first four innings of the night. This proved to be too much for the Angels to overcome, being unable to keep up with their in-state rivals.
The Dodgers’ bullpen shut down the Angels’ attack, limiting them to just five hits in 31 at-bats. Roki Sasaki earned the win after seven innings of action, striking out eight batters in the process.
Los Angeles improved to a 29-18 record on the season, boasting the top spot in the NL West Division standings. They are above the San Diego Padres and the Arizona Diamondbacks at the moment.
Rolling with five consecutive wins, the Dodgers will look forward to their next series on the road. They take on the Padres for three games as Game 1 commences on May 18 at 9:40 p.m. ET.
