
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to see Arrowhead Stadium transform into a soccer pitch as Kansas City prepares to host the 2026 World Cup later this year.
Arrowhead Stadium is no stranger to hosting soccer matches — most notably for the Kansas City Wizards from 1996 until 2007 — but the World Cup presents an excellent opportunity to spotlight the beloved edifice's utilitarian beauty.
Chiefs insider PJ Green, a writer for the Kansas City Star, shared a picture on his official Twitter account that showed exactly how Arrowhead Stadium would transform to host soccer fans from around the globe.

While other cosmetic changes are to be expected, Chiefs fans can rest assured that Arrowhead Stadium will still be recognizable as the same venue during the World Cup, even as the best footballers on the planet play a different sport on its turf than usual.
