Yankees Legend Reggie Jackson Falls For Embarrassing AI Video

New York Yankees legend Reggie Jackson is the latest celebrity to get duped by artificial intelligence.

Jackson, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993, played for the Athletics, Orioles, Yankees and Angels during his career. "Mr. October" was exceptional at the plate, owning a .262 batting average with 563 homers and 1,702 RBI. While some players have shrunk in the biggest moments, he proved time and time again that he loved competing under the bright lights.

Unfortunately, Jackson isn't trending on social media this week because an old highlight of his has resurfaced. Instead it's because he fell for an AI-generated video on the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Jackson, 79, shared a video of a woman leaving her seat a soccer match so she can step onto the pitch and fire off a shot from outside the box.

Although this video was clearly fake, Jackson couldn't help but share it with his followers.

"Wtf awesome," the 14-time All-Star wrote.

Fans react to Reggie's unfortunate mistake.

"The man hit three homers on three swings in a World Series clincher for the Yankees but can't figure out that this video is AI," Max Mannis of Jomboy Media said.

"My dad gets to tell me how he was alive to see Reggie Jackson hit 3 homers in a World Series game but now my image of him is falling for AI bait," one fan wrote on X.

"My generation has to watch Mr. October post AI slop," another fan said.

"This guy won 5 World Series championships, 2 World Series MVPs, a 1973 AL MVP award, and 14 All-Star selections but can't figure out this video is AI," Bracco Sportsbook commented.

Jackson hasn't responded to any of these comments just yet.

Hopefully, this is the last time we see Jackson get tricked by AI-generated videos.
