Ansu Fati was on target yet again on Sunday night as Monaco played out a thrilling game against Strasbourg in Ligue 1.
The Barcelona loanee is enjoying a strong end to the season and scored his 12th goal of the campaign in the match at the Stade de la Meinau.
Fati’s goal will live long in the memory, too. The forward received the ball just outside the penalty area, took a couple of touches and then smashed an unstoppable shot home.
The goal will give Fati’s hopes of being included on the Spain roster for World Cup 2026 another boost ahead of Luis de la Fuente’s squad announcement.
Fati admitted recently he would love to get the nod for this summer’s tournament, saying: “Yes, of course. It’s a great responsibility to represent your country. It would be an incredible prize. I’m ready.”
The Barcelona loanee is coming to the end of his stay with Monaco, although he has been tipped to complete a permanent move to the Ligue 1 side this summer.
