The midfielder previously left Wolfsburg to take control of his own career, spending time on loan at VfL Osnabrück before joining Dresden for around €200,000 in 2025. His consistent performances there attracted top-flight attention, and Hamburg, already secure in their Bundesliga status, moved quickly to win the race for his signature.
