Greuther Fürth’s Noel Futkeu wins the 2. Bundesliga top scorer award with 19 goals. Despite his club fighting relegation all season, the 23-year-old striker had a breakthrough campaign that led to Eintracht Frankfurt activating their buyback option.
Futkeu scored each of Fürth’s previous seven goals before today’s game. Although Felix Klaus was the “Man of the Match” against his former club Fortuna Düsseldorf, Futkeu scored the third goal as Heiko Vogel’s side did exactly what was expected from them to go over their visitors, winning by three goals.
