Final Injury Report for Timberwolves-Spurs Game 5: Will Victor Wembanyama, De'Aaron Fox Play?

The San Antonio Spurs are at home on Tuesday night as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals.

San Antonio enters Tuesday’s game tied with Minnesota in the series at 2-2 after losing on the road in Minneapolis in Game 4 on Sunday night.

In Sunday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Dylan Harper led the way for the Spurs as he recorded 24 points and seven rebounds off the bench while De’Aaron Fox added 24 points, four rebounds and three assists of his own.

Now San Antonio will try to bounce back at home in Game 5 on Tuesday as they try to grab a victory and take a 3-2 series lead before the series shifts back to Minneapolis for Game 6.

On the other side, Minnesota enters Tuesday’s contest tied with San Antonio at 2-2 in the series after defeating the Spurs at home on Sunday night in Game 4.

Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves in Sunday’s victory as he ended the game with 36 points and six rebounds while Naz Reid recorded 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists off the bench.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Game 5 on Tuesday night, one side may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Timberwolves Injury Report

For the Timberwolves, they have only one player listed on their injury report as they have ruled out guard Donte DiVincenzo.

Minnesota has ruled out DiVincenzo due to a torn Achilles that he suffered during the first round of the playoffs against the Denver Nuggets as he will miss the remainder of the season.

With DiVincenzo sidelined, Ayo Dosunmu, Mike Conley, Terrence Shannon Jr. and Boens Hyland could all continue to have increased roles.

On the other side, the Spurs have two players listed on their injury report as they have listed both Fox and Harper as questionable.

San Antonio has listed Fox as questionable due to right ankle soreness and he is in danger of missing his first game of the playoffs.

The Spurs have also listed Harper as questionable due to left knee soreness and he is in danger of missing his first game of the playoffs as well.

If either Fox or Harper are sidelined on Tuesday, Stephon Castle, Keldon Johnson and Jordan McLaughlin could all be in line for increased roles.

The good news for the Spurs is that Victor Wembanyama will be available for Tuesday’s matchup after the NBA announced on Monday that there will be no further discipline after the star center was ejected in Game 4 after picking up a Flagrant 2 foul for elbowing Reid.
