The Los Angeles Dodgers, fresh off of a sweep against the Los Angeles Angels, set their lineup for the first game of a three-game series against the San Diego Padres.
The Dodgers’ bats woke up over the weekend, scoring 31 runs across three games against the Angels. Shohei Ohtani snapped out of his several-game long hitting skid, going 5-for9 with seven RBIs across the final two games of the series.

Who is pitching for the Dodgers?
Yoshinobu Yamamoto is set to make his ninth start of the season for the Dodgers, and will hope he can improve following a stretch of difficult outings. Last year’s World Series MVP has allowed three or more earned runs in each of his last four starts, with the last one proving especially costly.
He allowed five runs in the outing, including three homers over the course of his 6.1 innings pitched. He still has a 3.60 ERA through 50 innings pitched, though, and will hope he can snap back into form after his rough spell.
