Heading into the final matchday of the Bundesliga season, 1. FC Union Berlin have confirmed the departures of three players.
The German capital club announced on Thursday that Danilho Doekhi, Diogo Leite, and Alex Král will leave the club as free agents when their contracts expire this summer.
Doekhi and Leite have been key figures in Union’s defence over the past four seasons, making 136 and 135 appearances respectively as regular starters at the back.
Král, who initially joined on loan from Spartak Moscow in 2023 before making the move permanent, has made 53 appearances for Union.
In addition to the playing trio, goalkeeping coach Michael Gspurning and physiotherapist Silvio Thieme will also depart at the end of the season.
All five will bid an official farewell to the fans before Saturday’s final home match against Augsburg at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
