2026 PGA Championship: 6 Bets for Aronimink Golf Club

2026 PGA Championship: 6 Bets for Aronimink Golf Club

Aronimink Golf Club takes center stage this week as the PGA Championship returns to the historic Donald Ross layout for the first time in more than 60 years. The rolling Pennsylvania course is expected to test every part of a player’s game with demanding long-iron shots, tricky green complexes and plenty of opportunities for disaster if drivers get too aggressive.

Defending champion Scottie Scheffler headlines a stacked major field alongside stars like Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka. These six bets target players ready for the grind.

Cameron Young First-Round Leader (+2900)

Young attacks Thursdays like somebody told him the tournament only lasts one round. The driver is an absolute flamethrower right now, ranking second on TOUR off the tee, and Aronimink feels tailor-made for his bomb-and-gouge style. Yeah, the putter had a full-on meltdown last week, but first-round leader bets don’t care about emotional baggage. Young has already shown he can post silly numbers early in big tournaments, and if he catches fire Thursday morning, the leaderboard could get weird fast.

Keegan Bradley Top-20 Finish (+290)

Bradley returning to Aronimink is basically golf’s version of a reunion tour. He already won here in 2018, so the course clearly doesn’t scare him, and now the irons are starting to heat back up at the perfect time. Bradley has quietly posted three finishes of T21 or better in his last four starts, and when he gets rolling, the intensity level goes through the roof. If this turns into a grindy major championship, Keegan feels built for the chaos.

Brooks Koepka Top-10 Finish (+315)

Koepka treats PGA Championships like most people treat backyard cookouts — relaxed, comfortable and somehow always dangerous. The putter has looked personally offended by golf holes this season, but the irons are still absolute lasers, leading the TOUR in approach play. And when majors show up, Koepka usually does too. Aronimink feels like the perfect “big-boy golf” setup for him, and if the flat stick becomes even slightly cooperative, Brooks could suddenly start stomping around another Sunday leaderboard.

Rory McIlroy Top-5 Finish (+186)

McIlroy looks like a guy who finally unlocked the “play golf and have fun” setting, which is mildly terrifying for everybody else. The finish at Quail Hollow wasn’t flashy, but the driver was still humming and he continues to lead the TOUR in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green. More importantly, the vibes are loud right now. Ever since grabbing the career Grand Slam, Rory seems lighter, looser and ready to chase even more history. If the putter behaves for a few days at Aronimink, another major Sunday charge feels very possible.

Ludvig Aberg to Win (+2000)

Aberg keeps showing up on leaderboards like a guy who already knows the ending of the movie. Seven straight top-25 finishes, laser-beam irons and a ranking among the best long-iron players on TOUR make him feel terrifying at Aronimink. The big Swede hasn’t won a major yet, but it feels less like “if” and more like “when.” If he keeps striping it like this, Aberg may finally stop teasing everybody and go full supervillain mode on Sunday afternoon.

Kurt Kitayama to Win (+8400)

Kitayama is the kind of long shot that suddenly has everybody Googling his odds by Saturday afternoon. The irons have been absolute darts all season, and he’s quietly become one of the best tee-to-green players on TOUR. He’s also got sneaky power off the tee, which feels useful on a monster like Aronimink. The putter can occasionally look like it’s fighting demons, but if it behaves for four days, Kitayama has the game to crash this major party in a hurry.

One-And-Done Play of the Week

If you play in a One-and-Done league, the idea is simple: You get to use each golfer once all season, so picking the right spot matters.

Patrick Reed lurking under the radar at a major is usually the golf equivalent of hearing spooky music in a movie. The guy lives for grindy tournaments where everybody starts missing greens and losing their minds. Aronimink feels perfect for his annoying little magician act around the greens, where he somehow keeps saving pars from impossible spots. Reed was right in the mix at the Masters earlier this year, and if this turns into a survival test, don’t be shocked when Captain Chaos suddenly appears on the leaderboard again.
