Victor Wembanyama has only been in the league for three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, but he is on an all-time trajectory. He is already one of the league's best players, as he is impactful on both ends of the floor.

In a conversation about the greatest of all time, that is usually reserved for LeBron James and Michael Jordan. However, former NBA champion and current ESPN analyst, Kendrick Perkins, believes Wemby will eventually make it into that special group.

Kendrick Perkins names Victor Wembanyama as the future GOAT

At the moment, Wembanyama and the Spurs are one game away from the Western Conference Finals. That is a special achievement, as he was the catalyst that led the Spurs to become one of the best teams in the league.

With that kind of impact, most players do not have that kind of legacy in their first three seasons. However, Wembanyama already has that, so he will keep building on that moving forward.

The Frenchman is worth the hype because he is a generational defender. His presence alone intimidates most players, and when they do try him at the rim, they tend to get their shots blocked.

Now, Wembanyama has been tested, but he will be facing some huge expectations soon. This is especially important when considering that people like Perkins are putting him in some special conversations already.

"30 years from now, in no particular order, the GOAT conversation is gonna go: Jordan, Bron, and Wemby. This man has officially taken over the NBA. The NBA belongs to Wemby for the next 10 years," Perkins said about Wembanyama's potential on The Pat McAfee Show.

That is a unique distinction for any player, but Wembanyama certainly has the chance to do so. It will be tough to enter that special group, but if anyone can do it, Wemvbanyama has the talent and physical assets.
