Tottenham predicted XI: Spurs looking to bolster survival hopes in must-win Leeds clash

Two clubs battling to stay clear of relegation will lock horns tonight as Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United face off in a mouth-watering Premier League battle.

Tottenham have been building momentum over the past few weeks and will head into this game on the back of consecutive wins for the first time since August.

Their most recent 2-1 victory over Aston Villa maintained their one-point cushion above the relegation zone. West Ham United’s defeat to Arsenal now opens the door for Spurs to extend their lead.

A win against Leeds later tonight will take Tottenham four points clear of danger with two games remaining, giving them the upper hand in the relegation dogfight with West Ham.

Roberto De Zerbi’s decision to take the Tottenham job with the club in turmoil raised plenty of eyebrows. But it now looks like Tottenham hit a home run.

Tonight’s contest gives Spurs a decent chance to win a third consecutive Premier League game for the first time this season. If they can get over the line, they’ll all but certainly secure their top-flight status.

Tottenham’s recent form has lifted the mood in the dressing room, and they will be chomping at the bit to bolster their survival when they welcome Leeds.

The only concern heading into this game is that Tottenham have collected just 11 points from 17 Premier League games at home, failing to win any of their last nine (D3, L6).

How Tottenham could line up

De Zerbi could make just one change from the side that beat Villa last time out. Antonin Kinsky should remain in goal with Pedro Porro, Kevin Danso, Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie in defence.

Lucas Bergvall could return to the midfield. The £8.5 million ace is set to start his first Premier League game in nearly a month.

He’ll likely step in for Rodrigo Bentancur and join Joao Palhinha in midfield, with Randal Kolo Muani, Conor Gallagher and Mathys Tel playing behind Richarlison.
