Liverpool reportedly have significant interest in one Premier League star. They could soon move.
Liverpool will need to sort their goalkeepers out this summer. There is increased speculation that Alisson Becker will depart the club a year before his contract is due to expire, with Juventus heavily interested in the Brazilian.
But that would naturally leave Liverpool light. Giorgi Mamardashvili is still at the club and would likely be first-choice but the Reds would require a new senior-level option to compete with him.
And they may have found one. Teamtalk reports that there's 'significant' interest form Liverpool in Bart Verbruggen of Brighton.
The Seagulls are alert to the interest in their goalkeeper and are seeking a replacement. It seems the chances of Verbruggen moving on are legitimate – though, it's unclear just how realistic it is.
As we say, Liverpool would need a new goalkeeper if Alisson were to leave. Exactly who that would be isn't entirely known but Verbruggen appears to be on the shortlist.
It'll be one of the stories of the transfer window, certainly. All change at Liverpool, once again.
