Through four games without Sabrina Ionescu, the 2026 New York Liberty are averaging exactly 100 points per game.
Now they're set to welcome her back.
The Liberty don't play again until Thursday, when New York hosts the Golden State Valkyries at Barclays Center. When the 3-1 Liberty return to the hardwood, it likely will mark Ionescu's season debut after a preseason foot injury.

Ionescu practiced fully on Monday alongside star free agent acquisition Satou Sabally — who hasn't played yet this season either as she recovers from a cyst.
Though the Liberty still won't be whole — Leonie Fiebich is yet to return from overseas commitments — New York is about to become an even more frightening prospect for opposing defenses, as four-time All-Star Ionescu closes in on a return and Sabally nears her debut for the team.
Despite one of the WNBA's highest turnover rates through four games, the Liberty's electric offense has taken another step forward under first-year head coach Chris DeMarco.
Without Ionescu or Sabally, the Liberty rank first in 2-point field goal percentage and second in 3-point percentage. New York also ranks second in free-throw percentage and first in assists.
Imagine adding Ionescu and Sabally to what is already a potent mix. Scary times for the rest of The W.
