A little more than two weeks before the Champions League final against Arsenal, PSG had to cancel a third ticket sales session for its supporters with great regret.
With only 17,200 tickets for PSG and the same number for Arsenal, out of the 67,000 seats at Puskas Arena, it was obvious that UEFA would leave some fans disappointed at both clubs for the upcoming Champions League final.
Because for PSG, it is impossible to serve all of its season ticket holders, who are twice as numerous as the ticket allocation.
As last year, the Parisian management therefore decided to first serve the longest-standing season ticket holders, then add a criterion based on actual attendance at the Parc des Princes, and finally allocate the remaining tickets to other season ticket holders.
All of this in the form of three waves, the first of which was launched at the beginning of the week. But on Wednesday, the European champions announced that the third wave was canceled.
The reasons for this decision are clear: the first two waves were enough to sell everything. PSG season ticket holders received an email on Wednesday confirming this very bad news. However, unable to take all its season-ticket holders to Hungary on May 30 for the final against Arsenal, PSG already has a plan B.
It has therefore planned to broadcast the match at the Parc des Princes on giant screens. This was already the case last year for PSG-Inter. Again, season ticket holders will have priority, as demand is already colossal, with PSG even creating a waiting list for the occasion. The sale of these tickets could be opened to the general public if any tickets remain, but again, that may not be the case.
