The Premier League title race is going down to the wire, with Arsenal holding a four-point lead over Manchester City – which has played one less game – entering play on Wednesday, May 13.
Arsenal will guarantee its first title since 2004 if the team wins its final two league games, while City faces Crystal Palace on Wednesday hoping to keep up the pressure and reduce the deficit back to two points through 36 matches.
“What I’ve learned from my career as a manager is, what you cannot control, forget about it,” Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola told reporters on Tuesday. “To do better what you have not done better this season. To arrive in better position to fight for the Premier League, that we are still fighting.”
If City drops points against Palace, Arsenal would be able to clinch the title with a home win over Burnley on Monday, May 18.
