NBA draft order 2026: Wizards secure No. 1 pick in draft lottery, followed by Jazz, Grizzlies, Bulls

The 2026 NBA Draft Lottery is in the books, and now we know where each team is picking this June.

The Washington Wizards won the No. 1 overall selection, following through as one of three teams with the best chance (14%) at winning the lottery. The Wizards get the No. 1 pick for the third time in franchise history. In 2010, the team selected John Wall, who represented Washington at the lottery draw in Chicago.

The draft order for the 2026 NBA Draft is as follows:

No. 1. Washington Wizards
No. 2. Utah Jazz
No. 3. Memphis Grizzlies
No. 4. Chicago Bulls
No. 5. Los Angeles Clippers (via Pacers)
No. 6. Brooklyn Nets
No. 7. Sacramento Kings

15. Chicago Bulls (via Trail Blazers)
16. Memphis Grizzlies (via Suns)
17. Oklahoma City Thunder (via 76ers)
18. Charlotte Hornets (via Magic)
19. Toronto Raptors
20. San Antonio Spurs (via Hawks)
21. Detroit Pistons (via Timberwolves)
22. Philadelphia 76ers (via Rockets)
23. Atlanta Hawks (via Cavaliers)
24. New York Knicks
25. Los Angeles Lakers
26. Denver Nuggets
27. Boston Celtics
28. Minnesota Timberwolves (via Pistons)
29. Cleveland Cavaliers (via Spurs)
30. Dallas Mavericks (via Thunder)

BYU forward AJ Dybantsa and Kansas guard Darryn Peterson are two of the prospects favored to be the top selection in June. Other possibilities include Duke forward Cameron Boozer and North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson.

Each of those players comprise the top four selections in Kevin O’Connor’s latest mock draft for Yahoo Sports. But really, all 14 teams in the 2026 lottery have a chance of adding an impact player in one of the deepest draft pools seen in years.

Please check out O’Connor’s big board for the 2026 NBA Draft with scouting reports on 60 prospects, in addition to Yahoo Sports’ draft guide for all coverage leading up to the first round on June 23.

The complete NBA first-round draft order can be seen here, along with updates from Yahoo Sports’ live blog of the 2026 draft lottery.

The other two teams with 14% odds of winning the No. 1 pick, the Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets, didn’t fare as well.

Brooklyn drew the No. 6 pick and the Pacers lost their selection to the Los Angeles Clippers as a condition of the trade sending center Ivica Zubac to Indiana. The Pacers would have kept their pick had it been among the top four selections — and they had a 52% chance of getting there. But the Clippers kept the pick if it fell within the No. 5 through No. 9 selections.

The Memphis Grizzlies (No. 3) and Chicago Bulls (No. 4) made big jumps up the draft order. Memphis was projected for the seventh selection, while Chicago was slated to pick ninth, based on regular-season record.

Among the other teams cursing their poor lottery luck are the Miami Heat (No. 13), Golden State Warriors (No. 11) and Milwaukee Bucks (No. 10). The Heat have never selected above their projected pick in their 12 times in the lottery.

The 2026 NBA Draft will take place on June 23 (first round) and June 24 (second round).
