Preakness Stakes winner and veteran sire Cloud Computing has relocated to EquiStar Training and Breeding in Annville, Pa., for the remainder of the 2026 breeding season, where he will stand for an advertised fee of $3,500.
The 12-year-old son of Maclean's Music moves within the state, having previously resided at Pin Oak Lane Farm in New Freedom, Pa., where he had been in service since the 2024 breeding season after beginning his stud career in Kentucky. The relocation comes in the wake of the death of Pin Oak Lane owner Dr. William Joseph "Doc" Solomon on May 5.
Cloud Computing has sired five crops of racing age, with 210 winners and combined progeny earnings of more than $14.6 million.
Leading the way among his runners is I'm Very Busy, winner of the Grade 2 Muniz Memorial Classic Stakes, along with Chilean Group 1 winner Zajarova, and stakes winners including Big Data, Wonderrand, Royal Justice, Neural Network, Louisiana Liberty, and Randemonium.
Cloud Computing won on debut in February of his 3-year-old season, then he finished second in the G3 Gotham Stakes and third in the G2 Wood Memorial Stakes before his connections elected to skip the Kentucky Derby to instead target the Preakness Stakes.
It turned out to be the right move, with jockey Javier Castellano keeping the colt within striking distance of the pace throughout the second leg of the Triple Crown, then grinding away at the seemingly insurmountable lead of Classic Empire to pick up the win by a head.
The Preakness was the highlight of a career that ended with two wins in eight starts for earnings of $1,125,200.
Bred in Kentucky by Hill 'n' Dale Equine Holdings, Inc. and Stretch Run Ventures, Cloud Computing is out of the Grade 2-placed A.P. Indy mare Quick Temper, who is the dam of five winners from six foals to race. He his extended family features Grade 1 winner Halo America, Grade 1-placed stakes winner Marino Marini, and Grade 3 winner Bo Cruz.
