Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes knows greatness when he sees it, and seemed particularly impressed by a performance he saw while attending a NWSL game with his family on Mother's Day.
In front of a packed crowd at CPKC Stadium, KC Current star Temwa Chawinga managed to score a hat trick that helped her team earn a 3-0 win over the Chicago Stars.
After Chawinga put the ball in the net for a third time, Mahomes removed his cap and saluted the outstanding forward with the rest of Kansas City's fans.

While Mahomes' expertise in sports is usually thought to be limited to the realms of the American football gridiron and baseball diamond, the former MVP is clearly growing quite fond of the soccer pitch, too, and may soon count himself among the most avid NWSL superfans.
