NASCAR reveals status of Connor Zilisch's No. 88 car at R&D Center

NASCAR took Connor Zilisch's No. 88 car to the R&D Center after the Cup Series race at Watkins Glen International. Following a strong run at Watkins Glen, the sport had a closer inspection of Zilisch's vehicle; however, did the Trackhouse Racing driver receive any penalties?

Zilisch's No. 88 car had no issues at the NASCAR R&D Center, which is the best result from further inspection. In previous years, NASCAR has found issues that cost a race team and driver over 100 points and more, so Zilisch receiving the green light is excellent news.

Going into the NASCAR All-Star Race, Zilisch sits 32nd in the point standings with a 138-point deficit to the Chase bubble with 14 races left in the NASCAR regular season. The driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet for Trackhouse Racing hopes to carry his momentum into Dover Motor Speedway, as the organization looks for more speed in 2026.
