Olivia Miles has already proven how special a basketball player she is.
Really, it should've never been in much doubt, but then she wasn't the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, which made it seem like maybe she wasn't quite as highly regarded as it seemed.
The Minnesota Lynx sure were happy to get her with the No. 2 pick. Her debut was everything they could've hoped for, aside from a painful one-point loss.
Miles played 34 minutes and scored 21 points on 6-for-14 from the floor, including 1-for-2 from 3-point range, while making 8-of-8 at the foul line.
She added 8 assists (3 turnovers), 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

She's only the second player with at least 20 points, 8 assists and a 55% true shooting in a WNBA debut, joining Candace Parker, according to analyst Hunter Cruse.
Miles' performance also earned some awesome praise from her backcourt mate, Courtney Williams, after the game:
Miles has a long WNBA career ahead of her, but you know what they say about first impressions.
And on Saturday, Miles' first impression was just about as good as it could get.
