Minnesota escaped with a 104-102 win in Game 1 despite Victor Wembanyama’s huge performance, but the Spurs answered emphatically in Game 2 with a stunning 133-95 blowout, the worst playoff loss in Timberwolves franchise history.
Stephon Castle led the way with 21 points, while San Antonio dominated the pace of the game, forced 22 Minnesota turnovers, and shot 41% from three after struggling badly from deep in the opener. Wembanyama also controlled the paint on both ends as the Spurs completely flipped the physicality and tempo of the series.

Now the series shifts to Minneapolis, where the Timberwolves are hoping for home-court advantage and a healthier Anthony Edwards to stabilize things.
