Eintracht Frankfurt sacks coaching staff

It is that time of year, unfortunately.

Eintracht Frankfurt let go of its coaching staff and issued a release on the matter:

Eintracht Frankfurt and head coach Albert Riera, as well as assistant coaches Pablo Remon Arteta and Lorenzo Dolcetti, have mutually agreed to terminate their cooperation with immediate effect.
The coaching team took over in February of this year. Under Riera’s leadership, the team recorded four wins, five draws, and five losses. Eintracht Frankfurt finished the 2025/26 Bundesliga season in eighth place.

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche gave a statement on the matter.

“After intensive discussions, we have jointly decided to end our collaboration with immediate effect. Albert Riera took over the team during a difficult period and dedicated himself to Eintracht Frankfurt with great diligence and commitment. Albert and his team also provided us with valuable input through their meticulous work, for which we would like to express our sincere gratitude. At the same time, after an open and honest analysis of the team’s performance, we have concluded that we want to pursue a different path for the upcoming season. We wish Albert Riera, as well as Pablo Remon Arteta and Lorenzo Dolcetti, all the best for their future, both personally and professionally,” Krösche said.
