Chicago Stars forward Mallory Swanson returns to active roster from maternity leave

Chicago Stars FC announced that forward Mallory Swanson has been moved to the club’s active roster and will be available for selection in Saturday’s matchup against the North Carolina Courage.

Swanson is returning from maternity leave following the birth of her daughter, Josie, in November 2025. The forward has been with the Stars since the 2021 season and has scored 23 goals with the team. She is signed to the club through the 2028 season on one of the most lucrative long-term contracts in the league.

Swanson last made an appearance for the Stars in 2024, starting in every single match for the club that season.
