Bradley Barcola Aware He Is PSG's Fourth Option but Refuses to Give Up

PSG can dream of another final victory in the Champions League. Bradley Barcola wants to prove himself to start the final against Arsenal, even if he is not at his physical peak.

PSG wants to conclude its season with another Champions League title. Spots are precious within Luis Enrique's team. The Spanish coach demands a lot from his players, and competition is particularly fierce in attack.

Four players are currently competing for three spots: Barcola, Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue. In recent weeks, however, Barcola seems to be losing ground.

The former Lyon player has become Luis Enrique's fourth offensive option and often has to settle for substitute appearances in big European matches. As the Champions League final against Arsenal approaches, the French international refuses to give up, even if his entourage remains aware of his current form.

According to L'Équipe, his recent injury sustained during the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Chelsea has greatly disrupted his progress.

The outlet relies in particular on confidences from people close to the player, who indicate that the Parisian "is not at 100%." This was evident during his substitute appearances in the Champions League against Bayern Munich, in both legs.

His entourage also mentions a certain apprehension as the World Cup approaches with the French national team, with Barcola not wanting to aggravate his ankle injury.

The former Lyon player remains aware of his recent performance, but he has not lost hope of getting back on track. This Sunday night in Ligue 1, he started against Paris FC, and he scored the only goal for PSG.

So, he regained confidence and sent a strong message to Luis Enrique, who will have to make important choices to try to win the Champions League against Arsenal in Budapest.
