Big 12 tournament court: Conference debuts unique GlassFloor for men's and women's tournaments

When the Big 12 women's tournament begins Wednesday, fans might notice something a little different about the court. Every team that takes part in the event — on both the men's and women's sides — will play on a full LED video court.

The Big 12 announced its video court — officially called an ASB GlassFloor — back in February. But the conference finally showed off what that will look like Monday night.

The court, which has a unique look, is capable of quickly transitioning to display new graphics. In one video that circulated Monday night, a blue court featuring the Kansas Jayhawks logo quickly shifted to a gray Big 12 tournament court.

While that is one of the main features of the GlassFloor court, it's not the only way the Big 12 intends to use it. In the release announcing the court, the Big 12 promised the following features during both the men's and women's tournament:

The ASB GlassFloor isn't completely new for the 2026 Big 12 tournament. The court has been used over in EuroLeague and during the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.

The Big 12 women's tournament will begin March 4 and run through March 8. There is, however, a possibility that the final will be played March 9. That scenario will only take place if BYU — which does not play Sunday games — reaches the final.

The Big 12 men's tournament will run from March 10 through March 14. The Big 12 currently boasts five teams in the AP Top 25 poll, including Arizona, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas and Texas Tech.
