All season, Bayern Munich was waiting to hear if goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was going to lace up the boots one more time for the 206/27 season.
After some ups, some downs, and some injuries, Neuer contemplated his situation and determined that he had enough drive and fire to chase another treble next season with Bayern Munich.
“I took my time over the decision and am now very happy. Everything is just right here: with this team, we can beat anyone; I enjoy going to Säbener Straße every day and I’m performing to the best of my ability. In our goalkeeping team, we stick together and try to keep raising the bar, constantly pushing each other and preparing ourselves as well as possible for the games,” Neuer told FCBayern.com.
The incredible season that the Bavarians had and the harmonious relationship that the locker room has with coach Vincent Kompany surely played a role in Neuer’s decision.
Now, everyone will be focused on whether or not he decides to play with the Germany national team this summer at the World Cup.
