Bayern Munich turned their last game of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season a statement. The team put up a fantastic home performance against FC Köln, winning the game 5-1. The game featured a hattrick from Harry Kane and goals from Tom Bischof and Nicolas Jackson, and was thoroughly entertaining, regardless of which side you were supporting. Following the game, the Deutschermeister received the Meisterschale and the celebrations began.
In the midst of these festivities, however, some concerning news came in regarding Manuel Neuer. Neuer was subbed out at the 59th minute for Jonas Urbig. While at that point, it did not look like much, a report from Bild says otherwise.
According to the German news outlet and @iMiaSanMia, Neuer pointed to his left leg and went into the dressing room with team doctor Dr. Peter Ueblacker after his substitution. This comes ahead of the DFB Pokal final next week against VfB Stuttgart.
This likely means Neuer will not be playing the final and instead, it will be Jonas Urbig at goal.
Do you think Neuer’s absence would heavily influence the final? Let us know.
