Paris Saint-Germain wants to make a few tweaks to its squad in the transfer market this summer. The French capital club is a long-time admirer of Maghnes Akliouche, although the AS Monaco talent could ultimately fly off to England.
PSG is more focused than ever on the end of the season and its upcoming Champions League final against Arsenal. Then will come the time to take stock. Luis Enrique wants only a few players to reinforce the squad this summer. The goal is, once again, not to overhaul a squad that is working very well.
In an attack, PSG already has several names in mind. For several weeks, one profile has been coming up insistently: that of Akliouche. If Monaco blocked his departure in the past, that may not necessarily be the case in the coming weeks. And PSG would be wise to accelerate in this case.
According to the latest information from Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur is indeed more than ever in the race to sign Akliouche. Spurs want to secure their place in the Premier League, but if that objective is met, they will go on the offensive for the French star.
Monaco could let its gem leave for a check of around $55 million, a sum well within Tottenham's reach. Roberto De Zerbi greatly appreciates Akliouche's profile, who could become one of the faces of the London club's new project.
Besides Tottenham, Manchester United is also interested in the Premier League. The Red Devils have a strong argument: a spot in next season's Champions League. Finally, PSG remains in the running to sign Akliouche, who will also be keen to make an impact at the World Cup. For that, departures will be necessary, notably Lee Kang-in's. Atletico Madrid is also interested in securing the services of the South Korean. Let's see.
