Khalil Ayari Could Debut for PSG Against Paris FC for Ligue 1 Finale

Paris Saint-Germain prepares to face Paris FC this coming Sunday as the last match of Ligue 1, where they could debut Khalil Ayari with the first team.

After the victory over Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League, many players were injured and missed the upcoming matches.

Among the players who have been resting are Kang-In Lee, Achraf Hakimi, Warren Zaire-Emery, Quentin Ndjantou, Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho, among others.

Facing the injury crisis, the team's coach, Luis Enrique, has decided to rely on substitutes or much younger players to cover the absences and, at the same time, give them more playing time.

According to the X (Twitter) account ETTACHKILA, which closely follows Ayari's updates, the 21-year-old prospect could debut with the first team in the coming days.

The Tunisian player arrived last summer from Stade Tunisien with a purchase option and was later permanently transferred.

His former team was among the proudest when its young star left for the Parisian club, because, when the signing was announced, they made themselves known on social media, wishing him the best.

"Make us proud, Khalil," Stade Tunisien posted.

Ayari had been supporting the under-21 national team, so he has not debuted with the first team due to the modest level he has shown, but he could become better known if he plays with PSG and helps win the league title.

PSG is widely recognized for trusting its youngest players, which helps them feel confident when surrounded by big stars.

Ayari had also been considered by some media outlets to play in the knockout phase of the Champions League with PSG, but was quickly discarded because he does not yet train with the first team.

But now the Tunisian is establishing himself as a young prospect, so much so that he will play in the next World Cup 2026 with Tunisia's Eagles of Carthage as one of the tournament's prospects.

It is very likely that Luis Enrique will give Khalil Ayari playing time to lighten the load on the already very worn-out starting roster preparing for the Champions League final against Arsenal on May 30.
