NASCAR reveals status of Chris Buescher's No. 17 car at R&D Center

NASCAR took Chris Buescher's No. 17 car to the R&D Center after the Cup Series race at Watkins Glen International. Following a strong run at Watkins Glen, the sport had a closer inspection of Buescher's vehicle; however, did the RFK Racing driver receive any penalties?

Buescher's No. 17 car had no issues at the NASCAR R&D Center, which is the best result from further inspection. In previous years, NASCAR has found issues that cost a race team and driver over 100 points and more, so Buescher receiving the green light is excellent news.

Going into the NASCAR All-Star Race, Buescher sits fifth in the point standings with a 98-point advantage to the Chase bubble with 14 races left in the NASCAR regular season. The driver of the No. 17 Ford for RFK Racing hopes to carry his momentum into Dover Motor Speedway, as the organization looks to continue its good speed in 2026.
