Barcelona celebrated their La Liga title in unforgettable fashion after defeating Real Madrid in El Clasico, and the post-match scenes offered plenty of emotional moments, strong statements and honest revelations from the dressing room.
One of the players who quickly grabbed attention was Gavi, who admitted he had a heated exchange with Vinicius Jr. during the match.
“I told Vinícius to shut his mouth,” he said.
Despite the strong words, Gavi insisted there was no deeper issue behind the confrontation and explained that moments like these are simply part of football rivalry at the highest level.
“I’m a hot-headed player, so is he… But what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch. It’s football.”
Reflecting on difficult comeback season
The title celebrations also carried extra meaning for Gavi personally after a challenging period marked by injury problems.
“It’s not easy to come back from two serious injuries and play at this level against a great team like Madrid.”

Gavi also reserved special praise for Hansi Flick, revealing just how important the Barcelona coach has been during his recovery process.
“Flick is like a father to me; he has a lot of faith in me and has helped me every step of the way.”
More reaction from the players
The victory over Real Madrid was particularly emotional for several members of Barcelona’s younger generation, many of whom grew up dreaming about nights like this.
Teenage defender Pau Cubarsi highlighted how important El Clasico victories are for the club’s supporters.
“For our fans, winning the Clásico is the ultimate achievement.”
Meanwhile, Eric Garcia praised the consistency shown by the squad throughout the campaign.
“The league title is the reward for consistency, and we’ve earned it.”
Defender Gerard Martin also acknowledged the historic nature of winning the title against Madrid at Camp Nou.
“Winning La Liga against Madrid at home has never happened before and it’s a very special occasion.”

For Fermin Lopez, the moment carried a particularly personal meaning after rising through La Masia and achieving success with the first team.
“I’ve been a Barça fan since I was a child, I’ve lived at La Masia and it’s a dream to experience this.”
Another emotional reaction came from Raphinha, who once again praised Flick for restoring his confidence and helping the squad believe in themselves.
“We often say that football gives you a big family, and to me he’s like a father; he’s made me believe in myself again and I’m really happy for us and for him.”
The Brazilian winger also reflected on Barcelona’s difficult moments earlier in the season and the way the team managed to recover strongly when it mattered most.
“At the start of the season, we set out to win titles, and that’s what it’s all about. Winning a league title is something to celebrate properly because it’s a big deal.
“Everyone goes through tough times, but in the end, coming back from difficult moments stronger is something few can do, and this team has shown it knows how.”
