Roma overturned a last-gasp result at the Tardini against Parma (2-3) and sent a message to the league: anyone hoping to play in next season’s Champions League will also have to contend with the Giallorossi.

Gasperini’s team caught up with AC Milan, who collapsed at San Siro, with the same scoreline that made the Grugliasco-born coach smile after Malen’s penalty, against a resurgent Atalanta.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma scored two goals after the hour mark in a Serie A match for the first time since November 5, 2023: Azmoun and Lukaku against Lecce. Mourinho was on the bench, a different era.

Roma stormed to victory against Parma in injury time, rallying to secure three points that seemed so distant. Goals from Rensch and Malen were the first goals scored in extra time in the second half by the Giallorossi under Gian Piero Gasperini.

With their hat-trick at the Tardini, Roma have now scored in at least 13 consecutive Serie A matches for the first time since December 2024 and May 2025 (22 under Ranieri).

Furthermore, at Parma, Roma remained unbeaten for the fifth consecutive league game (4 wins and 1 draw), the longest unbeaten streak under Gasperini’s reign in the capital.
