After weeks of speculation and various reports, Iowa basketball fans got the news they'd been hoping for: head coach Ben McCollum is staying in Iowa City for the long haul.
On Friday, the University of Iowa inked McCollum to a brand new six-year contract extension, tying him with the program through at least the 2036-37 season. The move comes a few months after McCollum led the Hawkeyes to their first Elite Eight in almost 40 years.
