Angel Reese led the WNBA in rebounds per game during her first two seasons, and only A'ja Wilson grabbed more total rebounds across the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

It turns out that maybe Reese's first two years were an appetizer for 2026, when she is cleaning the glass at an even more dominant rate.

In two games with her new team, the Atlanta Dream, Reese has hauled in a combined 30 rebounds — including 17 offensive boards.

Her average of 8.5 offensive rebounds per game is more than seven teams have accrued to date, as noted by Mike Conti of "The Game" 92.9 in Atlanta.

Of course, this kind of dominance on the glass is Reese's calling card. It isn't new to her. But at this rate, Reese won't just break one of her own rebounding records — she will absolutely smash it.

In her rookie season with the Chicago Sky, Reese smashed a 23-year-old record for offensive rebounds in a year by grabbing 172 as a rookie. At her current pace, if she plays all 44 games, Reese will haul in a whopping 374 offensive rebounds.

The two-time All-Star then snagged 123 offensive rebounds in 2025, which made her one of only five players in WNBA history to record at least two seasons in their careers with at least 120 offensive boards. Just two other players, Tina Charles and Yolanda Griffith, have had three such seasons; Reese is well on track to become the third.

No other team has this kind of weapon. It may make the difference for the Dream as Atlanta — 2-0 after wins over the Minnesota Lynx and the Dallas Wings — pursues a first-ever WNBA championship this fall.
