Polymarket is continuing its headlong dive into the soccer world, announcing a new partnership with Italy’s Serie A on Thursday.

Key Takeaways

  • Polymarket partnered with Serie A as the league’s exclusive U.S. prediction market platform.

  • The agreement includes official Serie A data integration and branding across the league’s U.S. digital and media channels.

  • The deal is Polymarket’s third major soccer partnership of 2026, joining existing agreements with MLS and La Liga.

The move marks Polymarket’s third partnership with a major domestic league since January, having also partnered with Major League Soccer and Spain's La Liga.

“The next phase of sports engagement won’t be defined by more content, but by more participation,” said Shayne Coplan, founder and CEO of Polymarket. “Prediction markets give fans a way to actively interpret the game in real time, and partnering with Serie A brings that model to one of the world’s most followed leagues at a moment when American interest in the sport is at an all-time high.”

Polymarket will become the “exclusive U.S. platform for Serie A prediction markets” and will include “brand integrations across the league’s U.S. media and digital channels,” per the press release. The partnership will also provide Polymarket with official Serie A data.

“The United States represents a key growth market for Serie A,” said Michele Ciccarese, marketing and commercial director of Lega Serie A. “Our exclusive alliance with Polymarket, as Regional Partner in the USA, lets us engage a new generation of fans through a platform that embodies emerging trends. It delivers an interactive, real-time product rooted in insights and participation perfectly aligned with their expectations.”

Polymarket expanding footprint

For both Polymarket and Serie A, the move represents a major step in an effort to enhance brand recognition. The prediction market operator has continued to make headlines as it solidifies its place in an emerging marketplace, while Serie A looks to capitalize on a soccer boon in the U.S, buoyed by the first World Cup on North American soil since 1994.

Polymarket has continued to make prediction market news with an expanding portfolio of deals across professional sports. Other partners for the prediction market platform include MLB, NHL, and UFC.
