The 2026 NBA Draft is expected to have several potential franchise-altering players at the top, and the race for the No. 1 overall pick has been quite a roller-coaster ride over the past few months.
Kansas' Darryn Peterson opened as a hefty -325 favorite to be taken first in the 2026 NBA Draft, but his odds shrank throughout the season compared with BYU star forward AJ Dybantsa. Dybantsa opened with +360 odds.
Dybantsa finally passed Peterson in early March and became the favorite to go No. 1 overall at sportsbooks. After Dybantsa officially declared for the 2026 NBA Draft, he moved to the -200 favorite to go No. 1 overall, and currently sits at -450. Peterson is all the way out to +320.
