The equation for Arsenal is simple: win two games and win the Premier League.

It might not even require that, if Manchester City slip up in any of their remaining fixtures. But, after Sunday's dramatic 1-0 win at West Ham, Mikel Arteta's side are seemingly on the brink of ending a sometimes torturous 22-year wait.

Next up are relegated Burnley at Emirates Stadium, in a game that should be incredibly straightforward, even considering this title race's propensity for twists and turns.

Arsenal injury list

Below is the latest injury picture for Arsenal, and estimated return dates for those who are sidelined.

Ben White

  • Injury: Knee

  • Expected return date: 2026/27 season

White has enjoyed a restorative couple of months, earning an England recall. However, his World Cup dreams are now in tatters after a medial knee ligament injury suffered during the first half of Arsenal's win at West Ham.

Riccardo Calafiori

  • Injury: Knock

  • Expected return date: May 18 (vs. Burnley)

Calafiori has suffered frequent injury setbacks this term and Arteta confirmed his withdrawal at halftime against West Ham was enforced. The nature of the injury is unknown but the sight of the Italy defender sprinting onto the field to join in with the celebrations at the final whistle against West Ham is surely a cause for optimism.

Jurrien Timber

  • Injury: Knee

  • Expected return: May 18 (vs. Burnley)

Timber suffered an injury early in the eventual 2-0 victory over Everton on March 14. He went down in the opening 15 minutes but carried on as long as he could. Ultimately, he was forced off in the 37th minute, replaced by Cristhian Mosquera.

Arteta said that Timber's recovery will be "a matter of days," but the full-back has still not played since and missed the Netherlands' games in the March international break. Arteta said there was "no chance" he could face West Ham, but the hope is he will have made significant progress during the eight-day break between games, particularly considering White's injury.

Mikel Merino

  • Injury: Broken foot

  • Expected return date: May 24 (vs. Crystal Palace)

It was reported in Spain late on February 1 that Merino could miss much of the rest of the season with a broken foot, and Arsenal confirmed the injury a day later. The club said the midfielder will be out for "an extended period" while he recovers from surgery, but the intention is for him to be back in training before the season ends.

Arteta still hopes to have Merino available over the next three weeks, but the midfielder still has "a fair bit to do" in his recovery.
