Barcelona are set to receive a massive financial boost following their championship-winning season.
According to a major revelation from AS, Barcelona’s success on the pitch is expected to generate well over €100 million in television and competition-related revenue, while also giving the club an important financial advantage over their rivals heading into next season.
Simply put, the economic impact of winning La Liga is enormous, especially for a club still working to strengthen its financial position.
What’s the story?
By finishing at the top of the table, Barcelona will receive the highest percentage of the television money distributed according to sporting performance.
The report explains that the league champions are awarded 17% of the total allocation linked to final league position.
In Barcelona’s case, that figure is expected to reach between €57 million and €60 million purely from winning the title.
To put it in perspective, the difference between first and second place is usually around €6 million to €7 million.
The report further states that Barcelona will also receive the standard fixed payment awarded to every La Liga club, in addition to further income linked to audience reach and global popularity.

When all television-related revenue streams are combined, Barcelona’s earnings are expected to comfortably exceed €100 million for the season.
The overall impact
The overall economic impact of winning La Liga goes far beyond domestic TV rights alone.
This is because Barcelona’s total revenue, linked directly and indirectly to the title victory, could fall between €60 million and €90 million through La Liga-related earnings.
However, when all additional benefits connected to sporting success are considered, including sponsorship growth, commercial value and European competition income, the overall impact could approach €150 million.
UCL qualification brings another huge reward
Winning La Liga also guarantees direct qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, bringing yet another major financial benefit.
Simply participating in the competition secures approximately €18 million before performance bonuses are even included.
Additional payments are then earned through victories, draws and progression through the knockout rounds.
In practical terms, Barcelona may not receive one single official champions bonus for winning La Liga, but becoming champions also allows the club to earn more revenue than any other side in Spain.
