In a new series track record time of 1:10.222, Brent Crews is on the pole for the NASCARCraftsman Truck Series race at Watkins Glen. Crews is only a teenager, but is showing that he is more than talented enough to be considered a threat to win.

This is the first career pole for Crews. He will share the front row with Ty Majeski on his outside. A few drivers surprised with their fast laps on the track. Daniel Hemric and Connor Mosack had massively fast laps to take the second row.

As for the road course ringers and Cup Series visitors, it was a mixed bag of results. Connor Zilisch P5, Shane van Gisbergen P8, Carson Hocevar P10, AJ Allmendinger P16, and Ross Chastain had issues with his truck but qualified P33.

The two trucks going home, the No. 20 of Toni Breidinger and the No. 69 of Dystany Spurlock. Breidinger had the 33rd best time in qualifying, but the last few spots are settled by owners points, and the 20 team is brand new. Natalie Decker gets in with the No. 22 team on points. Spurlock wanted to make her series debut this weekend, but it will have to wait.
